Birthday Party

Be sure your child’s next birthday party is loaded with extreme fun! Little Rock Climbing Center offers an exciting time for kids ages 6 and over. Birthday parties include an hour and a half of climbing followed by 30 minutes in our party loft. You bring the food, drinks, and party supplies and we’ll take birthday fun to new heights! Kids should wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothing. Our rate includes harnesses, belay lesson for adult belayers, plus a chalk bag for the birthday child to use! We recommend that you bring one adult to assist with belaying for every 3-4 climbers. LRCC can provide additional belayers for $20 each. A two-week notice is required if you would like additional belayers. Reservations and a 50% deposit are required, and please plan ahead, times book up fast!

Youth Climbing Lessons

Indoor rock climbing is a great way for children to build self-confidence while getting great exercise. Climbing is an individual sport which allows students to grow at his or her own pace.  Our courses cater to each individual’s needs and are taught in a highly supportive group environment. Any level of climber will be challenged but not overwhelmed. Our trained staff will help your kids learn about the sport they can enjoy for a lifetime. Intro to Climbing

The best way to get started rock climbing is to take our Introduction to Indoor Climbing class. This class has a low student-to-instructor ratio and is designed to get you up and climbing right away. We will cover climbing safety, equipment, belay technique, and movement in a top rope setting. The class is one hour long and includes all of the gear you need for the day. It also includes a day pass so you can stay and climb for the rest of the day. Participants must be 13 years or older.

Scout Merit Badge

LRCC offers scouts the opportunity to enjoy a night of climbing and the chance to earn their climbing merit badge. Your group will receive instruction on how to properly put on a climbing harness, how to belay a climber, learn knots, proper use of belay commands, and rappelling. Our merit badge program is scheduled for 3 hours and is open to groups of 5 to 10 scouts. Scouts must be 13 years of age and must have their First Aid and CPR certifications already met. Youth Groups

If you have a church group, school group, or any kind of youth group; an outing at Little Rock Climbing Center can be guaranteed to be the highlight of the year. Groups of 10-30 kids can climb our walls using the auto-belay systems and the tope-rope systems. Climbers age 13 and older can learn to belay (work the ropes) for other climbers. If your group consists of children younger than 13, adults with your group will be required to assist with clipping in and out of auto-belay systems and belaying the kids on the top-rope systems. Reservations are required along with a 50% deposit.

Field Trips

Bring your class or camp out for an hour of fun climbing at LRCC.  We will provide the harness and instructions for the kids and teach your staff how to help with the auto-belays. Field trip reservations are open for ages 5 and up with a minimum of 20 in your group.  A $50 deposit is due at the time of reservation.  

Adult Groups

Treat your group to a fun-filled experience at Little Rock Climbing Center.  Groups of 8-30 people can have a blast while climbing our walls.  We’ve got something for climbers of all abilities. For experienced or first-time climbers, LRCC has something for everyone.

Summer Camps

Summer Camps at Little Rock Climbing Center are the perfect opportunity for kids ages 7-12 to learn the basics of indoor rock climbing and get started in a new sport that they can enjoy for a lifetime! Kids will learn the fundamentals of climbing and bouldering while having fun in a safe, controlled environment. Our qualified instructors will teach them how to move efficiently in the vertical world, read routes, and most importantly how to be safe and have fun! Our summer camps run over several weeks during the summer and are held Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 12 PM. Ninja Climbing Camp Dates Age 7-12

Scout Outing

Plan your next pack or troop event at Little Rock Climbing Center. Our trained staff will have your scouts scaling the walls and having fun in no time. The scout rate includes 2 hours of climbing and all of the required gear. Belay lessons for leaders, parents and climbers 13 and older are also included. Reservations are required for all groups along with a 50% deposit. LRCC participant agreements are required for all climbers. Those under 18 need to have the participant agreement signed by their parents.

Team Arkansas – Recreational Climbing Team

Team Arkansas – Recreational Climbing Team is a fun alternative to mainstream sports. Climbing can help build self-confidence, problem solving skills, and muscle. This non-competitive team focuses on the skills needed to become a safe lifelong-climber and build an enjoyment of the sport. Team Arkansas’ Recreational Climbing Team program runs for 10 weeks. Practice is held once a week from 5:15-7 PM Monday or Wednesdays. We also have a  Sunday class from 1-3PM. It is open to climbers from ages 8-17. The cost is $265 for the session and includes rental gear if needed. A full gym membership can be added for an additional $110.

Team Building

Climbing is a natural team building activity. It is goal-oriented and requires cooperation, trust, and good communication skills. Professional facilitators provide your organization with activities that will enhance and change the way individuals view themselves, their co-workers and the team as a whole. We can customize any program, providing a highly-structured, motivational agenda or a relaxed curriculum that highlights the thrill of climbing. Climbing shoes and harnesses are provided. Lead Climbing Class

If you are ready to make the move from top-roped climbing into lead, or just want to refresh your skills, this is the class for you. Our trained instructors will teach the fundamentals of lead climbing in the gym and prepare you for climbing outside. This two-hour class covers knots and safety, rope management and care, gear selection and use, climbing, belaying and falling. Lead climbing is serious business, so take the time to protect yourself and get trained by a professional. Class participants should already have their own shoes and harness and feel comfortable climbing 5.9 top rope. Participants must be at least 13 years of age.

Training Strategies Clinic

Training Strategies Clinic Clinic Description: This clinic is designed to help people maximize personal training for climbing. Participants will be introduced to exercises and routines outside of “just” climbing that will have a dramatic impact on strengthening climbing related muscle groups. This is a great opportunity for those that are stuck at a plateau or just want an accessible introduction to how one can use the weight area to improve their climbing. Pre-requisites: Minimum 6 months climbing experience Climb a minimum of 5.9 in the gym without falling or hanging Being able to lead climb is not required, however, if students want to lead during the clinic they must get lead certified at the gym PRIOR to the clinic date. Investment: $25 gym members / $30 non-gym members Space limited to 12 students

Anchor Cleaning & Outdoor Skills Clinic

Anchor Cleaning & Rappelling Clinic Description: You got to the top, now what?  This clinic is designed to help people gain a better understanding of cleaning anchors in an outdoor lead climbing situation. Instructor Chet Tribett will teach the safest methods to clean anchors and lower or rappel back to the ground. This is not a lead climbing class. Prior experience lead climbing is required. Pre-requisites: Minimum 6 months climbing experience Climb a minimum of 5.9 in the gym without falling or hanging Being able to lead climb is required. Investment: $25 gym members / $30 non-gym members Space limited to 6 students

Personal Training

Are you looking to improve your technique and take your climbing to the next level? Then a session with one of our personal trainers may be what you need to break through the barriers that are holding back your climbing. One-on-one instruction can help to guide you as you seek to improve and become a better climber. Please call to set up your personal training session.

Mountaineering Skills Course

*We will be spending most of the trip in the mountains outside of populated areas to help protect from potential covid-19 exposure. Our Mountaineering Skills Course (Dec 15th-23rd) will give you the foundation, skills and the experience necessary to start your mountaineering career. We will travel to Ecuador and train on the slopes of a volcano, then finish our trip with a summit attempt of Cayambe. Once we arrive in Ecuador, the team will  meet their guides and begin getting geared up. We will start our trip rock climbing near Quito to help us acclimate. We will travel to Otavlo, visit the market and hike to Mojanda & Fuya Fuya (13,986′). Another acclimatization climb on Illiniza Norte (16,615′) will further prepare us for what lies ahead; two days camping on the glacier and learning skills necessary for a summit attempt of Cayambe (18,996′). This trip includes all in-country travel and lodging. A 3-month membership is included along with personal training to help prepare you for the trip. International airfare, trip & travel insurance, meals in town, and tips are not included. Mountaineering boots, crampons, and ice axes are available for rent in Quito. Trip dates TBD. Movement & Training classes for adults

There’s much more to climbing than just pulling yourself up one rock at a time. If you want to improve your climbing this is the class for you. Learn about hand placement and grip, footwork, training and injury prevention.

Yoga

Yoga is an excellent way to strengthen the body, improve flexibility, and stabilize the core. Our weekly Yoga for Climbers Class is held Monday and Wednesday nights and is conducted by experienced and qualified yoga instructors, who are also dedicated rock climbers. Even if you’ve never been to a yoga class, you can jump right in and get started. The class is free for members and is included with the purchase of a day pass on Monday or Wednesday.
